Hello there and Welcome!  This is Jessi Brandi Johnson, creator and artist here at North Country Revelations.  I’m here today to tell you a bit about us, I’ll start by telling you the story of how North Country Revelations came to be.

with a Minnesota spring storm that had lasted for nearly a week in full effect; winds blowing and seemingly unending rain pattering on the windows.  

     Suddenly, there was an ominous creaking, then a chorus of mournful groans, and finally a horrendous crash outside that morning.

     The whole family rushed to look outside to see what had happened and to find out what it was…

North Country Revelations was born.   A simple dream, unexpressed nostalgia, a respect for the power of nature, a love of Minnesota’s rich history, and hope for what it’s future could hold if we only remember, these things are the foundations of my business.  I suppose it all boils down to a simple concept…hope.  I truly believe that only by looking to our history can we ever really move forward, and find a way to realign ourselves with our natural world.

   I was taught to see the value and importance in things gone by, as well as those yet to come.  I believe above all else, in Family.  Our children play a starring role in this, and teaching these values, traditions, wisdom, and adopting some type of more responsible living are, I believe, the keys to our happiness, futures, health, and likely our very survival on this wonderful planet of ours. But that is just one MN country girl’s opinion, do with it what you will.  I will leave you on that note, as I have so much left to do, and it’s nearly time for Supper.  Where does the time go?  It was really great to see you, thanks so much for stopping by!  Don’t be a stranger!
